I don’t think lawyers are arbiters, so the development of more sophisticated blockchains to rule on contract completion won’t affect them. I think lawyers are more like midieval knights who are paid because they know how to break into, and pillage, fortresses. In today’s society, the powerful steal from the less powerful by using lawyers.

Since theft is part of human nature, as long as we have property law, we’ll have lawyers.
